Erin Mykleby

Over the years Erin Mykleby has gained experience working in athletics departments and other organizations all over the country. These days, one can find her working with Saint Leo University, where she serves as the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement.

Prior to accepting the position with Saint Leo University, Erin Mykleby accumulated plenty of experience elsewhere, working with a number of  athletics organizations while working at National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), , such as the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) and the Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA). Prior to working at NACDA, Erin Mykleby also gained experience teaching and coaching sports like swimming swimming, basketball and volleyball in Antwerp, Belgium.

The high level of experience in her background will always serve her well, just as it does currently in her important position at Saint Leo University, where she is that school’s Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement.

Erin Mykleby earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from Luther College, where she was a Captain of the women’s swimming and diving team. In 2011, she earned her way onto the Academic All-American team as an Honorable Mention.

Erin Mykleby is the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement for Saint Leo University. From that position, Erin Mykleby serves as the athletics department’s liaison and handles promotions for the department.

Erin Mykleby graduated from Luther College in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. While she was there, Erin was a Captain of the Luther women’s swimming and diving team and was named Honorable Mention Academic All-American in 2011. At the same time, Erin also minored in Communication Studies. Erin then received her Master’s degree in sports management from the University of Iowa in December 2014. While at Iowa, Erin was a teaching assistant and she also served as a supervisor for the undergraduate Sports Business Internship program. As a student-athlete Academic Service Learning Assistant for the football team, she worked one-on-one with student-athletes to help develop organizational skills, and develop better, more effective learning strategies.

She also taught and coached volleyball, basketball and swimming in Antwerp, Belgium. Also, well before joining Saint Leo’s, Erin Mykleby also worked with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) for a time. There, she served as liaison to a number of NACDA affiliate organizations, including the Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) and the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA).

Erin Mykleby currently serves as the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement for Saint Leo University.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Luther College in 2012, where Erin Mykleby was a member of that school’s women’s swimming and diving team and was Honorable Mention Academic All-American in 2011. She also minors in Communication Studies and has experience teaching and coaching volleyball, basketball and swimming in Antwerp, Belgium.

Before she joined Saint Leo, Erin spent time working with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), where she served as liaison to a number of NACDA affiliate organizations, including the Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) and the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA).

Erin Mykleby received her Master’s degree in sports management from the University of Iowa in December 2014. And while she was there, Erin was a teaching assistant and she also served as a supervisor for the undergraduate Sports Business Internship program. As a student-athlete Academic Service Learning Assistant for the football team, she worked one-on-one with student-athletes to help develop organizational skills, and develop better, more effective learning strategies. In addition, Erin Mykleby also served as a graduate intern for the University of Iowa’s athletic department in event management, where she helped managed athletic events, championships and other key athletic events.
